Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Rends platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
Rends provides an AI agent governance platform comprising four engines — Discover, Translate, Govern, and Comply — along with APIs, SDKs, documentation, and related tools. The Service enables organizations to discover AI usage, translate regulations into enforceable policies, govern agent runtime behavior, and maintain regulatory compliance. We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Account registration
To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscription and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We offer a 14-day free trial on all plans. If you cancel during the trial, no charges apply. After the trial, your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. Price changes are communicated at least 30 days in advance. 5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service; use the Service to build a competing product; share your account credentials with third parties; or exceed applicable rate limits or usage quotas.
6. Your data
You retain all rights to data you submit to the Service ("Customer Data"). You grant Rends a limited license to process Customer Data solely to provide the Service. We do not access, use, or share Customer Data for any other purpose. We do not use Customer Data to train machine learning models. Upon account termination, Customer Data is retained so that you can reactivate; we do not automatically delete it on a fixed schedule. Contact privacy@rends.ai to request removal. Tamper-evident audit records are retained under our legitimate interest in preserving a verifiable compliance history and cannot be selectively rewritten without destroying the property that makes them evidence.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including all code, design, documentation, trademarks, and the AICAP™ framework, is owned by Rends and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Rends trademarks or branding without prior written consent. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without obligation.
8. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to protect the other's confidential information with the same degree of care it uses for its own confidential information, and no less than reasonable care. Confidential information does not include information that is publicly available, independently developed, or rightfully received from a third party.
9. Service level and support
We operate the Service on a best-efforts basis and work to keep it available. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime commitment, and we do not publish measured availability statistics. rends.ai/status reports a live health check of our services at the moment you load it; it is not a historical uptime record. Support is provided via email at support@rends.ai. Enterprise customers receive priority support; any specific response-time commitment is agreed in writing with that customer.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rends shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the amounts you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Rends harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from: your use of the Service; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any third-party rights; or Customer Data you submit to the Service.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may cancel your subscription through the dashboard or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms with reasonable notice, except in cases of egregious violations where immediate action is necessary. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we delete your data per our retention policy.
13. Modifications to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect, via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, you may terminate your account.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida. Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.
15. General provisions
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Rends regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
